Hey all
Welcome to Exeter University LGBTQ+ society online forum :-) We are a very welcoming and open society, and want people to feel safe and secure using this forum, espcially as some topics are very personal. In order to ensure this forum is a safe place, in which everyone can enjoy themselves, feel welcomed and can seek advice without worry, please read the following rules and guidelines:
- Firstly, you can post anonymously on this forum if you wish. Part of the reason this forum was created was to ensure there was a space for society members to seek anonymous advice if needed. Please just simply post as a guest. Please do not push 'guests' into revealing their name/identity/any other personal details - please respect their boundaries and their right to remain anonymous.
- Hate or discriminatory language of any kind will not be tolerated. If you come across any language which you find hurtful, unsettling or makes you feel uncomfortable, please report this to an administrator. The forum will be moderated. Any member who breaches this after a previous warning will be removed from the site.
- Please keep confidential stuff confidential! Unless a member has specifically stated it is okay to do so, please do not discuss content of posts outside of this forum - particularly regarding posts from the 'support' area. If a member has posted anonymously, then this probably implies they wish for it to be kept confidential, so please respect that and keep it that way!
- We are not professionals. If you need medical advice or advice regarding mental health and support, we can give advice as friends/fellow members, but not as professionals. Please keep this in mind and look after yourselves!
- In the creative outlet thread, please place a trigger warning in the title if there is any graphic content.
- Most importantly: respect your boundaries, and the boundaries of others.
Enjoy and take care
